Woodley Island Marina is the largest marina on Humboldt Bay. It is a full-service marina with 237 slips for commercial, recreational, research and safety vessels, guest docking facilities, hoists, work area, café and bar, laundry facilities, ships chandlery and boat sales, rentals and lessons. Guest Vessels - Transient Moorage
Please contact the marina offices prior to docking on VHF radio channel 14

Reservations for Transient Moorage are strongly encouraged.
- Marina operates on radio VHF channel 14.
- Slip "D-23" is the guest dock where there is a TWO hour courtesy tie-up.
- Please check in at Marina Office or with security by radio or phone for slip assignment ahead of your stay or immediately upon arrival.
- Most vessels longer than 75 feet can be accommodated; call at least a week in advance.
- Dockside power and water are available.

Permanent Moorage
Moorage for 30 days or more requires completing a lease application, having a seaworthy vessel, current registration, insurance, an initial deposit of one month’s rent plus one month’s rent as a security deposit and a valid credit card on file for charges. Monthly rent is due on the first of each month and payable at the District Office or charged to credit card. Please contact the Marina Office for more information.

Resolution 2015-04: Formal Process for the Woodley Island Marina Moorage Wait List
Purchasing a Vessel Currently Moored at Woodley Island Marina
Any sale or transfer of legal title in and to the Vessel moored at Woodley Island Marina shall serve as an automatic termination of the Berthing/Slip Rental Agreement. The new owner of the vessel has no rights to the previous owner’s Berthing/Slip Rental Agreement and must apply for Moorage and be approved by the District before taking possession of a slip.
Live Aboard Vessel Requirements
Live aboard vessels must be at least 30 feet in length and seaworthy, in good repair and appearance, have a fully operational engine, a cabin with 6 feet of standing headroom, and must be equipped with all required US Coast Guard approved equipment (flares, extinguishers, etc.). Live aboard vessels must follow all local, federal, and state of California laws, rules and regulations including those pertaining to navigational, marine sanitation devices, and safety equipment.
You may be required to demonstrate vessel maneuverability. Only the registered owner of the vessel, the registered owner’s family, owner’s crewmembers, and employees shall be allowed to live on permitted vessels. Subletting of vessels is prohibited.
Absolutely no pets are allowed on live aboard vessels. No live aboard permit will be granted to houseboats, barges, floating homes, or other vessels not designed for or safely capable of navigating open waters.
Living aboard or overnight occupancy of any vessel in the Harbor for more than 3 consecutive nights in any 7-day period by any person or persons at any time is strictly prohibited, except for the holder of a Live Aboard Permit issued by the District.
